About the Health Reform Roundtable


Joseph Antos is a Resident Scholar and the Wilson H. Taylor Scholar in Health Care and Retirement Policy at American Enterprise Institute. He is the former Assistant Director for Health and Human Resources at the Congressional Budget Office.

Stuart Butler is a Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution and former Vice President at the Heritage Foundation.

Lanhee Chen is the David and Diane Steffy Research Fellow, Hoover Institution, and Director of Domestic Policy Studies in the Public Policy Program at Stanford University. He is the former Policy Director for Romney-Ryan 2012.

John McDonough is Professor of Practice at Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is the former Senior Health Advisor for Senator Ted Kennedy.

Ron Pollack is the former Founding Executive Director and Chair Emeritus of Families USA. He was appointed by President Clinton to the Presidential Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Health Care Industry.

Sara Rosenbaum is the Harold and Jane Hirsh Professor of Health Law and Policy, Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University. She is the past Chair of the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC).

Grace-Marie Turner is President of Galen Institute. She was appointed by George W. Bush to the Medicaid Commission and served on the policy
advisory team for Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Vikki Wachino is the Former Director, Center for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Services.

Gail Wilensky is a Senior Fellow at Project HOPE. She is the former Administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and Deputy Assistant to the President, George HW Bush.
