Internship Program Overview
Convergence is dedicated to creating a positive internship experience that will not only further concrete skills but will provide an enjoyable, fun work environment that operates on strong communication, trust, and relationships. We welcome and encourage interns to be thought partners who provide fresh ideas, feedback, and constructive criticism to our team.
Here’s a bit more about the remote internships we commonly offer:
Communications AND DIGITAL MEDIA
This program aims to further develop your social media, video-editing, research, writing, and copy-editing skills in a professional work environment while gaining first-hand experience at a small nonprofit.
DONOR ENGAGEMENT
This program aims to deepen your understanding of the art and science of individual donor relationships and how they fuel nonprofit impact. You’ll gain hands-on experience in donor strategy, CRM management, and project planning while learning to incorporate data, psychology, and best practices. Interns will also gain practical experience in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and contributing to an overall culture of philanthropy.
Programs
This program aims to further develop your research skills, administrative and project support skills, and knowledge of critical issues of national importance while exposing you to our collaborative problem-solving process that forges trust and leads to actionable solutions even amongst the most divided stakeholders on intractable issues.
We typically welcome three to four interns per semester with the following timeframe:
- Fall: September to December. Applications open in June.
- Spring: January to May. Applications open in October.
- Summer: May/June to August. Applications open in March.
